TOPTAGLIO: siamo contro gli sprechi e a favore del riciclo

We are against waste and pro recycling. This is what TOPTAGLIO does for the environment

A more sustainable and efficient approach to resource management, especially in the construction sector, is essential to reducing environmental impact. Avoiding excessive production, fighting waste, and promoting recycling means making a significant contribution to the fight against climate change and, consequently, protecting the environment with a keen eye on the future and the well-being of the Earth.

The circular economy model undoubtedly offers enormous benefits not only for the environment but also for the economy and society itself. However, its implementation requires changes in production, consumption, and waste management.

At TOPTAGLIO, we have always worked on our construction sites striving every day to optimize the use of natural resources as much as possible and to promote production processes aimed at their reuse and, consequently, their valorization. In all our projects, we are committed to increasingly promoting the reuse, repair, reconditioning, and recycling of recyclable materials, the principles on which the circular economy is based, banishing the traditional linear economy that has always followed the “take, make, use, and dispose” cycle.

World Environment Day, celebrated every year on June 5th, is a global event promoted by the United Nations to raise awareness and encourage actions in favor of environmental protection. For us, it is an additional opportunity to talk about what has always been a significant mission to accomplish. We are on a journey and never stop.

Here’s what we at TOPTAGLIO do to reduce waste in our redevelopment projects and promote the transition to a circular economy:

  • We carry out intelligent strip-outs: Our goal is to reuse waste materials.
  • We recover instead of discarding: We reduce construction waste by recovering and recycling it whenever possible, reintroducing it into the production cycle, thus limiting the need to extract raw materials and produce new ones. A prime example is our recent mobile crushing campaign for Moellhausen. It’s important to remember that better resource use can lead to significant long-term savings.
  • We repurpose instead of destroying: Promoting the repair, maintenance, or repurposing of a product or material extends its lifespan. By consuming less energy and resources, and therefore applying sustainable building practices, we can reduce CO2 emissions.
  • We use eco-friendly materials: This helps meet the requirements of various environmental certifications.
  • We renovate and build circularly: We promote sustainable renovation and construction practices in a circular manner, including the use of more electric equipment and tools. Using recycled materials in the renovation and design of buildings reduces construction costs and energy consumption, while also improving the quality and durability of the structures. These elements facilitate future renovations and lower maintenance costs. Additionally, adopting new sustainable methods and technologies stimulates innovation in the construction sector, making us more competitive and prepared for future market challenges.

In conclusion, choosing to adopt the circular economy means not only using materials and construction techniques that improve the energy efficiency of buildings but also enhancing existing ones through renovation. Enhancing existing buildings allows us to reduce the overall environmental impact and preserve historical and cultural heritage. The environmental remediation we perform is a crucial step in giving new life to a building or making previously polluted land buildable, thereby reducing the consumption of new land.

Awareness of the growing importance of sustainability has led us to promote green actions within our company, starting with the use of renewable energy generated by our solar panels and extending to waste management.

Lavorare in cantiere, recuperare, riciclare, ristrutturare e costruire in modo circolare ci consente anche di rispettare le normative ambientali nazionali, locali e internazionali, oggi sempre più rigorose e più attente al futuro che ci attende.

Working on-site, recovering, recycling, renovating, and building circularly also allows us to comply with national, local, and international environmental regulations, which are becoming increasingly stringent and future-focused.
